A African Adinkra necklace, the Adinkra symbol is funtunfunefu - denkyemfunefu. The necklace is 20 inches long and the brass pendant is 1 1/2 inches long. The beads are a mix of brass, glass and wood beads. FUNTUNFUNEFU-DENKYEMFUNEFU "Siamese crocodiles" symbol of democracy and unity. The Siamese crocodiles share one stomach, yet they fight over food. This popular symbol is a remind that infighting and tribalism is harmful to all who engage in it. The piece closes with a toggle clasp. The brass piece is handmade from Ghana using the wax technique, (not machine made) please expect some natural imperfections.
