The necklace is a one of a kind African Gye Nyame piece. The beads are a mix of wooden painted and carved pieces. The necklace is 24 inches long and closes with a clasp. The wooden Gye Nyame pendant is ebony wood and a hand carved piece made in Ghana. Gye Nyame, meaning “except for God,” symbolizes God's omnipotence through the knowledge that people should not fear anything except for God.
